Bello 102: A hands-on learning that combines collaboration with state-of-the-art technology

Inside the George E. Bello Center for Information and Technology is a classroom that promotes innovation and applied learning, and affords faculty the opportunity to seamlessly integrate technology into their lessons. At its heart, Bello 102 is a video conference room with collaborative workstations, each with a 40-inch monitor to facilitate group work. Instead of tables and chairs, Bello 102 features modular pods with wheels, encouraging student teams to learn from one another. The open workspace allows faculty to easily move from station to station to ask questions and offer constructive feedback. Ninety-inch screens at the front of the room enable side-by-side comparisons of group projects. The room also is equipped with video conference technology that enables outside experts to join in the class discussion.
