Ideation Lab: A flexible workspace to support unique learning experiences

Bryant’s Ideation Lab, modeled after similar workspaces in Google’s headquarters, is a unique learning environment designed to foster collaboration among students and educators. Its walls of glass and whiteboard invite students to write on every square inch of space. Movable tables and chairs encourage collaboration, team projects, and interactive work. Instead of standing behind a podium at the front of a classroom, faculty members incorporate the most up-to-date technology and projection screens in order to teach from the center of the room. Opened in 2012, the lab has quickly become one of the most sought-after academic spaces on campus, and served as a prototype for similar classrooms incorporated into the Academic Innovation Center’s design.
